Hi Wikitreers,

Samuel Webb was a veteran of the glorious 106th New York Regt Company A during the U.S. Civil War he enlisted to serve one year and mustered with a rank of Private on October 15th 1864. He was absent, under arrest and in confinement at muster out date of June 27, 1865

He is the first veteran of the 106th NYV where I’ve seen this notation attached to his military report so very rare indeed.

What was the reason for his confinement? Needs fold3 access.

Need collaboration in his genealogy

Thank you

He was born in Roxbury, Massachusetts so should be able to find the census of the Webb family living there about 1830’s maybe a 1860 census. He enlisted at Tarrytown New York. I wonder why he was in confinement? Also the fold3 describes his complexion but it’s a word I am unable to decipher without any collaboration. I think this veteran has a story. It appears he was transferred from the 49th New York as well…
Thank you, Andrew.
