It appears the wives connected to him are the same? Maybe a merge is needed? William was a civil war veteran of the 106th New York Company A. Any help in his genealogy is appreciated.

Thank you

Note: married brothers widow Sarah Elizabeth (McAllister) Siver (1846 - 1918) James W. Siver his brother who been killed in the war.

Possibly the same Siver-291 and Siver-223?

See Category: 106th Regiment, New York Infantry, United States Civil War and the free space pages of each Company.

It appears James Siver married Sarah McAllister and they had daughter Luella.  James died in the war and his brother, William, married the widow Sarah.  William and Sarah had children Adora, Elmer, Jesse, Merrit, Olive.

I found a document I will upload that is about the guardianship of Luella.  Names Sarah as her mother and approves William Siver as a court appointed guardian.  He seems to have adopted her!  A great brother!!

The other Sarah is the same person, but the profile manager has an incorrect name imported via gedcom

Another Sarah https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Maccoisten-2

Probably needs a merge also?
