Need Civil War group help adding to his profile anything about how he died, any newspapers articles which mention him or his obituary, etc.

Seems to be a mystery here as the pension card says “Missing”?

Thank you

I wonder if he was sent to POW camp or if he was KIA?

This helps a lot. I updated the civil war service sticker.

Can we add in the muster out the MIA date?
His Pension file has been uploaded to his profile. It is incomplete and a really bad scan job from the National Archives. The original file will certainly have more documents, but this may have additional information for you. I've got maybe a dozen more files that I really should scan and upload. Cari

As I remember on this profile, his father received his pension. His pension file may have additional information. I'll go take a look at fold3 and see if there's a file. Cari Van Tine Yocom

I’m very interested in the 106th as my 3rd great grandfather on maternal side served in 106th Co. H Pvt. John C. Gibbs. The areas of St. Lawrence and Franklin Counties in New York is also where most of my ancestors originate.

His pension is on familysearch and yes his father Manuel is listed.
Yup definitely says father pulled the pension which means no wife?
I double checked that I had not ordered his file and just forgotten about it (It was probably 30 years ago.) and low and behold.... there it is. I'll post it to the profile.
