Hej!

I am not understanding this note (on the right of the AII:a/11 book). I am researching Erik Johan Andersson (b. 25 May 1890 in Ölme) on line 16. I appreciate the help. It is all the abbreviations that are getting me.

Tack så mycket!

I need a little more help. I am unable to find him after Vaxholm. It says he went to Karlstad Domkyrkoförsamling. I found that Karlstad Dom was not created until 1934. So I looked for him in Karlstad Stadsförsamling and landsförsamling. I looked in the moving out records in Vaxholm, but he is not there. So what does the date and place in the “Out-going” column mean?  Thank you!

He is in the Stadsförsamling, back with his old family: https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/00035618_00045 line 21. I have no idea why they say Dom in Vaxholm, though... (Although I guess it is not an unreasonable mistake, since Karlstad became an episcopal see already in 1647.)

There are two separate notations. The first line says that he on December 2, 1907, was sentenced by Karlstad Rådhusrätt (the city court), to one month in prison for violence against a policeman on duty.

The second line says that he on July 2, 1908, was signed in to Karlstad Sjömanshus (the city's institution for keeping track of sailors and ships, as well as look after their and their families' rights) under No 1284.

Riksarkivet does not to have Karlstad Sjömanshus but Arkiv Digital does. There he goes by the name Erik Johan Gustafsson. He worked as an ordinary seaman. It also says that from 1909 he was employed at Vaxholm Grenadier Regiment. He was signed out of the books on November 20, 1914.

Wow, thank you! That is a lot of information. Yes, his father’s last name was Gustafsson. I did find him in Vaxholm as a “voluntare” with Gustafsson too.
