Biography

Jean Graham was born on 11 Apr 1818^[1] at Cote Farm, Eskdalemuir, Dumfriesshire^[1], the daughter of William Graham (1793-1878)^[1] and Margaret Stewart Charters (1796-1870)^[1].

She married Thomas Laidlaw^[2], a Drainer and Farm Laborer^[2] in Selkirkshire^[2] sometime before 1843^[2] when their son Andrew was born^[2]. They had 6 children:

1. Andrew Laidlaw 1843^[2]
2. Margaret Laidlaw 1845^[2]
3. Helen Laidlaw 1847^[2]
4. Christian B Laidlaw 1851^[2]
5. William Laidlaw 1854^[3]
6. Jane Laidlaw 1861^[4]

All but Jane were born in Selkirkshire, Jane was born in Eskdalemuir^[4].

The date and location of Jean's death are not presently know, but she was alive in 1861.
