Joseph Watkins, son of Henry Watkins and Mary Crisp,[1] was born about 1695 in Henrico County, Virginia.[2]

Joseph married Mary Farrar, daughter of Thomas Farrar and Katherine Perrin. Their daughter Mary married Henry Willis, Sr.[2]

Farrar 1740 Will

The will of Joseph's father-in-law Thomas Farrar mentions his granddaughter. Thomas Farrar's will, dated 28 Febuary 1740, was proven 15 June 1742.[2]
"Item I give and bequeath unto my grand Daughter Mary Watkins one negro boy called Davy to her and her heirs forever"[2]

ah - nevermind my comment about 1685. 1695 works too. the 1685 birth year is probably for his uncle.

Watkins-1008 and Watkins-4713 appear to represent the same person because: these profiles appear to be for the same man... 1685 is a better birth date for the age of his mother, but I have no source for it.
