Stephen Estilienne Watkins was born about 1704 to parents Henry Watkins Jr. and Mary Crispe.[citation needed]
He married Judith Trabue about 1734.[citation needed]
Children: four sons and a daughter named in will[1]
Stephen died between 23 November 1758[1] and 2 March 1759 in Chesterfield, Virginia.[2]
Based on directions in Stephen's will, written November 1758, sons Joseph, Benjamin, and John were under 21, so born no earlier than November 1737. Daughter Judith, not yet 18, would have been born no earlier than 1740.[1] He left his three underage sons land. He did not leave land to David, or mention his age, implying that David had reached his majority (i.e., 1737 or earlier) and that Steven had probably already gifted him land.
Land left to Joseph: 218 acres, "the land whereon I now live".
Land left to Benjamin: 100 acres in Cumberland County, "it being part of 200 acres of land assigned to me by George Turner.
Land left to John: the other 100 acres "of the same track assigned to me by George Turner in Cumberland County".
