Research Notes

The children listed here are highly speculative.
Samuel is related to James Spencer, b 1735 Charlotte Co VA and others (see below for DNA results).
It is hypothetical to consider Hannah and Samuel as siblings. These are hints in that direction:
1) both lived in south central Kentucky,
2) both appear in Kentucky at an early date, ca 1810,
3) their great-grandchildren married each other (Dolly Spencer and Clarence Huff),
4) Samuel was probably born in VA, and his children, in order, in VA, TN, and KY, and Hannah either VA or TN or KY.
5) to date, no parents have been identified for either.
Not much, but it's a theory I am pursuing. KP
Barren Co KY, 1810 census: Moses Spencer Jun, John Spencer, Moses Spencer, later in Lawrence Co TN and died there in 1826. There doesn't appear to be room in his family for Samuel or Hannah either.
