Erin was born in Rochester, Monroe, New York to Paul Rene Williamson-Schraven and Mary Opal Carmel Duthie. In 1973 the family--including her paternal grandmother--moved from Henrietta, Monroe, New York to Las Vegas, Clark, Nevada. In 1999, Erin and her four children moved to rural Pahrump, Nye, Nevada. She moved again in late 2023 to Clearfield, David, Utah.
For most of her adult life, Erin has been self-employed in various endeavors from running a home daycare, selling used children's books, to housesitting, and now selling digital items on Etsy.
Researching her family history began in earnest In 1993. While homeschooling her children, she took a ten-year break from researching [2003-2013]. During that time, Erin became an avid quilter. In 2013, while on an Alaskan cruise to teach a quilting class, Erin met some genealogists who were on the cruise for genealogy classes. When she returned home, with her passion for family history reignited, she dove back into her research. Through a DNA test, a non-paternal event came to light that changed the focus of her paternal research. That change is reflected in her tree here on WikiTree.
