WILLIAM HENRY ATKINS

WILLIAM HENRY ATKINS was born about 1828 in Quebec, Canada. He was the son of ANN TESKEY and ROBERT ATKINS.

He married SOPHIA LENORA FRANKLIN born about 1832 in New York state. She was the daughter of HONORA HANNAH and ROBERT FRANKLIN. She died on 30 June 1909, at Red Deer Alberta, Canada.

"Sudden Death"

W.H. ATKINS, aged 79 years, who resided with his son, at Poplar Ridge about nine miles west of Red Deer, dropped dead on Wednesday evening of last week. Deceased was in his usual health and had partaken of a hearty supper. He went out to close the front gate and on returning to the house fell dead. Heart failure is supposed to be the cause.

Three sons, Levi, Daniel and William, survive him and Mr. H. Mitchell of Red Deer is his son-in-law. The funeral took place on Friday to the Red Deer Cemetery, Mr. Earl conducted the funeral service.
