DEATHS.

A few days ago, at the family residence at Nawton, Thomas Whytehead, Esq., aged 56. He was for some years Captain Commandant of the Helmsley Volunteers during the late war, and upon the dissolution of that body, volunteered, together with most of his soldiers, into the 5th Regiment of Local Militia, and held the commission of Major in that corps to the time of his death. He was much esteemed by all who knew him, and his memory will be long revered by his family and friends.
