Biography
John was born in 1773. He was the son of George Wood and Ann Foxton. He married Sarah Stockton, also a native of the market town of Kirkbymoorside in May 1789. They had several children. John possibly died 24 March 1862 in Kirkbymoorside. Family trees are frequently correct when they list a specific death date as is the case here. But until a death record has been located it is not yet proven.
