Biography
John was born in 1785. He was the son of Joseph Wood and Mary Fisher. John was a farmer who was married in the 1851 census to Liza born in Eastmoor, 1791. In the earlier 1841 census he was married to Alisea born 1783. There is not enough information on either woman, if they are different women, for a profile. There is no evidence of children. In the 1861 census John was a widower. He died in Helmsley in 1867.
