DEATH OF MAJOR WALLER.
A feeling of profound sorrow was felt in North Tipperary when it became known on Tuesday last that Major William A. De Warren Waller died rather suddenly that morning. He was Major of the 4th Battalion Tipperary Artillery. It would appear that Mr. Waller left his house at Willington on Sunday for that of Mr. Saunders, of Corolanty, with a view to joining the Ormond hunt the next day, but during the evening he became ill, and died on Tuesday morning. He was in his 38th year, and was engaged for years past with his father, Mr. R. J. Waller, J.P., Nenagh. He was a large employer of labour, and his loss will be much felt in the Ormond hunt. At the Nenagh Petty Sessions on Saturday the court was adjourned as a mark of respect to his memory. Nenagh Urban Council and Ratepayers' Association passed resolutions of condolences with his family and friends. He leaves a young widow and three children to mourn his early demise. The funeral took place at Corolanty on Saturday at 11 o'clock for the family burial ground at Cloughprior, and was attended by a large concourse of gentry and the general public. Numerous wreathers were sent.[6]
Probate of his Will was granted on 10 November 1904 at Dublin to his widow Anne Selina Waller[7]. Effects: £3,708 .18s. 2d.
