At the age of 26 Robert married 19 year old Sarah Georgina Andrews (the youngest daughter of John Hawtrey Andrews and Elizabeth Georgina Hall) on 23 August 1864 at Templeharry Church in Templeharry, county Tipperary[1]. Notice of their marriage was printed on page 3 of the Freeman's Journal dated 26 August 1864:
MARRIAGES.
August 23, at Temple Harry, Robert Jocelyn Waller, second son of William Waller, Esq. of Prior Park, county Tipperary, to Sarah Georgina, youngest daughter of John Andrews, Esq., of Ratheney House, King's County.[2]
They went on to have three children during their marriage. Sadly his wife Sarah passed away suddenly on 6 August 1877 at the age of about 32.
He then married, secondly, spinster Amy Margaret Saunders on 30 January 1879 at the parish church in Stoke-next-Guildford, Surrey, England, by Licence[3]. Notice of their marriage was printed on page 1 of the Freeman's Journal dated 4 February 1879:

WALLER and SAUNDERS.- Jan. 30, at the parish church of Stoke-next-Guildford, by the Rev. E. R. Manwaring White, Vicar of Ryarsh, uncle of the bride, assisted by the Rev. Francis Paynter, Rector of the parish, Robert Jocelyn Waller, Esq., second son of William Waller, Esq., J.P., of Prior Park, county Tipperary, to Amy Margaret, daughter of Edward Saunders, Esq., J.P., late of Ballinderry Park, county Tipperary.[4]
They had two children together. He also had one son from another relationship.
In the 1901 Ireland Census, Robert Waller (aged 62, a Maltster and JP) was recorded living with his wife Amy M Waller (45) and his two daughters Eliza G Waller (28) and Ellen N Waller (19) at Nenagh North, Nenagh East Urban, Tipperary. Also in the household were two servants[5].
In the 1911 Ireland Census, Robert Jocelyn Waller (aged 73, a Maltster and JP for Tipperary) was recorded living with his wife Amy Margaret Waller (55) at house 5 in Nenagh North (Pt. of), Nenagh East Urban, Tipperary. Also in the household were two servants[6].
Robert Jocelyn Waller died on 4 February 1915 in his hometown, having lived a long life of 77 years[7][8]. Notice of his death was printed on page 1 of the Dublin Daily Express dated 8 February 1915:
DEATHS.
WALLER-- Feb. 4. 1915, at Summerville, Nenagh, Robert Jocelyn. second son of the late William Waller, Prior Park, Nenagh, aged 77 years.[9]
He was buried at Cloughprior Cemetery, Carney, County Tipperary, Ireland[10].
Inscription:
In loving memory of
George [sic] Jocelyn Waller,
son of William Waller of Prior Park,
died Feb 4th 1915, aged 78.
And of his wife
Amy Margaret Waller
daughter of Capt. Edward Saunders of Ballinderry Park,
died Aug 21st 1926, aged 71.
Probate of his Will was granted at Limerick to his widow Amy Margaret Waller[11]. Effects: £48 7s. 10d. in England. Sealed London 11 January 1916.
