Biography
The Baltimore Ticket #47688-29533 had been purchased by her husband Johann Treichel during December of 1908 which was shortly after his arrival in the United States for Auguste and their children Auguste, John, Gustva, Rheinhold and would be honored for the next twelve months. They had been living with her brother inlaw Ludwig Treichel in Kostopol Volhynia Russia, the family had to make their way out of Russia by travelling at night and picniking during the day, for sailing from Bremen Germany on September 2 1909 and arriving in Baltimore Maryland on September 15 1909. After being processed by the immigration authorities they stayed at a Salvation Army Center until they boarded a train for the journey to Benton Harbor, Michigan and then and going to Sodus Michigan to join her husband. On the passenger manifest her age is recorded as 36 years and being a housewife, their last permanment residence was in Lesopol Volhynia Russia. During the 1920 census he was living with his mother and stepfather in Benton Township of Berrien County, he was 14 years of age.
He married 18 year old Wilma Martin on December 27, 1929 at the St, Matthew's Church in Benton Harbor, Michigan
