Walter Treichel was a wonderful member of our WikiTree community who has passed away. Walter Treichel made many contributions and will be missed.
Biography
The oldest of three children born to Walter Ernest and Gladys Janet Hannah Treichel in Lansing, Michigan and moving to Jackson, Michigan when I was in the third grade. Growing up, my first job was paper routes, one before school and one after school. Graduated from Jackson High School in 1956. While still in high school Walter joined the U.S. Army Reserves and after graduating he went to Ft Leonard Wood, Missouri for basic training and specialized skill training. During his senior year Walter met Barbara Ann Pennington and they started dating after he had graduated. After Barbara graduated they were married in Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan. They are parents of four children Cheryl Marie born in 1959, Walter Wayne born in 1960, Tami Lynn born in in 1964 and Chet Alan born in 1977.
