Thomas; born at Warmington, county Northants; K.S.; elected scholar of King's College Cambridge 1447; admitted 30 Sep 1448; M.A.; fellow of King's 1451-58; ordained acolyte (Ely) 18 Dec 1456; sub-deacon 12 Mar 1456/7; deacon 16 Apr 1457; doubtless brother of William Stoke as the Will of John Stoke King's 1458 (Ledger Book i. f. 24 c.) refers to his brother Magister Thomas and his brother William.
He died in 1496 and an inquisition was held 26 Jan 11 Henry VII (1497) [2]:
Thomas Stok, clerk, died 23 Oct. last seised of the other under-mentioned messuages and lands, which are worth 8l. 2s. yearly, in fee. Isabel Fazakerley, widow, aged 60 and more, is his sister and one of his next heirs, and Elizabeth Elmes, widow, aged 50 and more, is his cousin and other heir, viz. daughter of Margaret his sister.
