Anderson was born in 1828. He was the son of Jack Smith and Margaret Butler. He passed away in 1879. He was married to Lucy Finnell.
He attended Transylvania University as a Freshman in 1847.[1]
In 1856 when his parents left Scott County, Mississippi to move to Bosque County, Texas they signed a Power of Attorney allowing him to conduct business on their behalf. [2]
