Biography

Ida Mildred Mosley was born on January 20, 1889, on Gibraltar. She was a daughter of Sir Alexander Mosley and Maria de las Mercedes Josefa Emmanuela Luisa Francia Mosley.

Ida married Gérard Hubert de la Pasture, 5th Marquis de la Pasture, on May 6, 1918, at Chelsea, London, England. Ida's husband was a younger brother of the late husband of her sister Agatha. Their marriage was registered at Chelsea in the April quarter of 1918. They would have four children, as follows:

• Anne Elisabeth Mary de la Pasture (1919-1968), who married Antoni Minkiewicz
• Pierre Antoine Gérard de la Pasture (1921- ), who may have become a tea planter in East Africa after World War II
• Gérard Roger Malherbe de la Pasture (1922-1979), 6th Marquis de la Pasture, who married Elizabeth Wallis
• Bernard de la Pasture (1923- ), who may have emigrated to America

In the 1920s and 1930s Ida and her husband travel between England and Gibraltar with and without one or more of their children. In 1921 Ida lists her address in England as Down House, Redmarley, Gloucestershire. By the 1930s she lists her address as Redhill, Redmarley, Gloucestershire.

Lady Ida de la Pasture passed away in 1981. Her death was registered at Shepway, Kent, in the January quarter of that year.
