Biography

Research Notes

  • At least one of his children died in Linn County, Iowa, and we also find a George W Morgan in Linn County, Iowa at the time of the 1905 Iowa Census. These census listings don't show family members, however. His entry shows that his father was born in Virginia & his mother in Tennessee. There is a question of whether or not Zachriah (his father) was born in either Virginia, West Virginia or Tennesse -- there are records showing all of those. So, it is likely that the George W. Morgan listed in Linn County, Iowa is the same George Morgan.[1]
    • Found him and his family in the 1900 US Census.[2]
