You seemed to be making changes to a lot of relationships, as an example with William Simpson-735 profile, based on a suggestion. Changes should be done based on sources and I didn't see any source changes made to the profiles. When you remove a child from the father, but leave the child still connected to the mother that is linked to that father, chances are that someone is going to add that same father back to the profile, unless something has been stated as to why things were changed.

The change you made may be correct, but it could also be that the birthdate on the father or mother is incorrect.

Thanks, Linda I was trying to link my Simpson Boone family and messed things up I think I made all the corrections on my James Simpson B/. 1750

and his son Solomon. Anna and Dorcas Simpson, I use Proof and Sources for every person I add to my family tree, I hope everything is correct.

Thanks Again Jerry 4 great-grandson of James Simpson 1750-1820

If you are using sources, then they should be added to the profiles. If you are removing people, it is always a good idea to leave a note in the Research Notes of what profile you removed and why. Many profiles were left with one parent with no other connections or explanation. Remember that there are multiple people with the same names, so you have to be careful in changing things. It is possible that some merges were done with those Simpson profiles, which caused incorrect connections.
Hi Jerry,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
