Giuseppe Marino is born and baptized on 19 February 1807, named after his maternal uncle. He is the son of Andrea Marino and Biagia Cascio. His godparents are Filippo and Gaetana Governali, a married couple.
Giuseppe marries Maria Marino, daughter of Pietro Marino and the late Rosalia Pennino, on 23 November 1828. Andrea has died by this time. No impediment to their marriage is found, so there is no dispensation required, despite their last names. Maria and Giuseppe are fourth cousins, once removed.
Giuseppe dies, reportedly at age 30 (he is almost 32) on 19 December 1838. His wife, Maria, and his mother, Biagia, survive him.
