Biography

Giovanni Maria Marino is born and baptized 11 June 1794, named after his paternal grandfather. He is the son of Andrea Marino and Biagia Cascio. His godparents are Antonio and Maddalena Todaro, a married couple.

Giovanni is fourteen (b. 1793) in the 1807 Church census, the stato delle anime. At this time, he lives with his parents, two brothers and a sister, beside the church on via Sant' Elena in Corleone. Their neighbors include the families of his paternal uncle Giuseppe and aunt Lucia.

Giovanni dies at age 80 (b. 1793) on 1 November 1873. He is unmarried.
