Biography

Calogero Marino is a farmer (agricola or agricoltore) born around 1805 in Corleone, based on his age at the birth of Luigia, and at his death. He is the son of Pietro Marino and Rosalia Pennino.

Calogero is married to Caterina Cusimano. They have at least nine children together[1], Antonino Francesco (1832), Rosalia (1834), Antonino (1838), Biagio (1839), Bernardo (1841), Antonina (c. 1842), Luigia (1848), Giuseppe (1854), and Calogera (c. 1860).

Antonino Francesco is born 3 November 1832.[1]

Rosalia is born 10 April 1834.[1]

Antonino is born 31 January 1838.[1] Based on the name of his older brother, born in 1832, and that both survive to marry, I assume the older boy is called Francesco.

Biagio is born 23 June 1839.[1]

Bernardo is born 4 January 1841.[1]

I estimate Antonina is born around 1842, twenty years before she marries.

Luigia's birth record is included in her marriage allegati. She is born 28 December 1848.[2]

Giuseppe is born 1 November 1854.[1]

Rosalia marries Antonino Castro, a shopkeeper, on 28 April 1851.[3]

I estimate Calogera is born by 1860, twenty years before she marries.

Death of Calogero

Calogero dies on 13 April 1860, age 55.[4][5]

Antonina marries Bernardo di Miceli on 23 February 1862.[6]

Rosalia dies, still married to Antonino, in her mother's home at age 30, on 4 June 1865.[7]

Antonino remarries to Rosalia's younger sister, Luigia, on 10 March 1867.[8] These allegati include a single article dispensation for Antonino and Luigia to marry.[9]

Antonino Francesco marries Bernarda Governali on 9 September 1876.[1]

Calogera marries Francesco Scalisi on 4 February 1880.[10]

Giuseppe marries Giuseppa Governali on 8 November 1880.[11]

Antonino marries Giuseppa Ciavarello on 5 October 1886.[1]

Giuseppe dies 9 Feb 1899 in Corleone.[1]

Biagio marries at an unknown date to Maria di Giovanni. He dies 23 Dec 1903.[1]

Bernardo dies at age 64 ond 8 July 1905 in Corleone. There is no record he has ever married.[1]

Antonino Francesco dies 22 Sep 1909 in Corleone. His wife, Bernarda, survives him.[1]

Antonino dies 4 December 1923 in Corleone. His wife, Giuseppa, survives him.[1]
