Biography

Milo M. King was born in August 1852 in Pennsylvania. He is the son of Stephen King and Emily King. In 1860, he lived with his parents and four siblings in Mill Creek, Erie Pennsylvania. His father was a peddler. [1]

Milo married Cornelia Hooper, his first cousin, in 1877 and they had four children - Angeline, Guy, Lewis, and Clyde. In 1880, Milo was a farmer in Freedom, Cattaraugus, New York. [2]

In 1892, Milo and Cornelia and their four children lived in Farmersville, Cattaraugus, New York. [3] His aunt and mother-in-law, Almira Hooper, lived with them in Farmersville in 1900. He and his sons were farmers. [4]

Milo and Cornelia, and their youngest son, Clyde, lived in Rushford, Allegany, New York in 1905. Cornelia's mother Almira Hooper Rogers, lived with them, as well as a grandson, Raymond Tapp (Angeline's son). [5] In 1910, Milo, Cornelia and Clyde lived in Centerville, Allegany, New York. Their household included their widowed daughter, Angeline Tapp, and her three children - Raymond, Hazel and Marvin. [6]

Milo, Cornelia and Clyde continued to farm in Rushford, Allegany, New York in 1920. [7] [8] Cornelia died in 1927.

By 1930, Milo lived with his daughter, Angeline and her second husband, Verner Taylor, in New Hudson, Allegany, New York. Milo's son, Clyde, was also in the household. [9]

Milo died on October 16, 1933 in New Hudson, Allegany, New York and was buried in Bellville Cemetery, Bellville, Allegany, New York. [10] [11]
