She apparently died a short time later and they did not have any children, or at least none that lived long.
In 1850 he was a 35 years old farmer, living with his mother and some of his siblings in Harmony, Clark, Ohio.

In 1880 he was a 65 year old widowed farmer, living in Dresden, Pettis, Missouri.

He died on 1 Aug 1887 at the residence of Mr. Samuel Sprecher, in Sedalia, Pettis, Missouri, after a "long siege of suffering".
