Biography

Sarah Householder was born on 23 Nov 1812 in Loudoun County, Virginia, the daughter of Adam Householder and Sarah Janney. [1]

She married Samuel D. Haney on 5 Nov 1835 in Clark County, Ohio. [2] They had at least five children together:

  1. John Haney (b. c1839 in Ohio)[3]
  2. Mary A Haney (b. c1843 in Illinois)[3]
  3. Louisa Susan Haney (b. c1847 in Illinois)[3]
  4. Sarah Haney (b. c1850 in Illinois)
  5. Grace Haney (b. 10 Feb 1853, d. 15 Aug 1934 in Mercer, Adams, Iowa, m. J Westlake)[4]

In 1850, she and Samuel were living in McDonough County, Illinois with their three children. [3]

She died on 12 Sep 1854. [1] Samuel married her sister Ruth in April 1855.
