Biography
John Hollowell, the fourth child and of Thomas Hollowell, Sr. and Alice was born on 22 June 1655 in Virginia.[1]
John passed away on 10 May 1671 at the age of 16.[2]

- ↑ John's date of birth is recorded as "22th of 4 mo. 1655." Prior to 1752 in England and in the Colonies, dates were using the Julian calendar, in which the year began on March 25. That means that "1st month" referred to March, so "4th month" referred to June. So this date is most likely the 22nd day of June, not the 22nd day of April. Confusing, right?
