Biography

Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hemken was born on 08 Feb 1874 in Illinois as the first child of Egge Jansen Hemken-17 and Emma Anna Maria Elizabeth Strohkirch-2. She had five siblings, namely: George, Anna, Henry, Chris, and William.

When she was 19, she married John Henry File-215, son of William Stewart File and Calandar McCullah, on 10 Aug 1893 in Walshville, Montgomery, Illinois. John Henry File and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hemken had the following children: Roy Victor and Clarence Albert "Bud" File.
