John C. Heisler was born on February 27, 1862, and died on September 9, 1938. He was the son of Rev. Washington Heisler and Sarah Kurtz.
He attended the University of Pennsylvania.
He was a Professor of Anatomy at the University of Pennsylvania from 1916 to 1930.
He was widely known in anatomy and embryology, authoring books in both fields.
