Giovanna Gennaro is born 3 January 1872 and baptized Joannam the next day. She is the daughter of Luciano Gennaro and Lucia Cascio. Her godfather is the unmarried Salvatore Cascio, the son of Lucia's brother, Marco.[1]
Giovanna marries Giovanni Scalisi, son of Francesco Paolo Scalisi and Lucia di Palermo, on 25 February 1889. Their parents are all still living.[2]
Giovanna and Giovanni have at least three children: Maria Carmela (1899), Angela (1904), and Michaelangelo (1907).
Maria Carmela is born 14 August 1899 and baptized two weeks later. Her godmother is Lucia Cascio, her maternal grandmother.[3]
Angela is born 4 April 1904 and baptized on 29 April. Her godparents are Calogero and Caterina Scalisi, who are brother and sister, both unmarried.[4]
Michaelangelo is born 21 August 1907 and baptized 2 September. His godfather is Liborio Jannazzo, who is unmarried.[5]
Margin notes indicate Angela marries Emmanuele La Barba, son of Carmelo, on 20 February 1941 in Corleone.[4]
Michelangelo marries Lucia Labruzzo on 9 February 1946. His parents have died by this time.[6]
