Biography

Nehemiah was the son of Joseph Ford and Freelove Beals.

Nehemiah's Parents Questionable - On Page 43 of the 3rd Volume of the book about Andrew Ford's descendants, the author, Elizabeth Cobb Stewart writes that she is not certain that Nehemiah was the son of Joseph and Freelove. Her words were: Nehemiah remains and uncertain member of this family in the compiler's mind, mainly due to a lack of records connecting him to this family and these can be read on the attached Image. A document that likely disproves Stewarts opinion about Nehemiah's parents, is the document concerning land sales (see attached document) where Nehemiah is a witness.

Nehemiah was born in 1780. He passed away in 1820.

Listed with father

Nehemiah's name first appears as child ID Number 74 under his father Joseph's ID Number 30, naming his mother as Freelove Beals Ford and describing the family history on pages 59 and 60 in the book THE DESCENDANTS OF ANDREW FORD OF WEYMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS PART 1 THE FIRST SIX GENERATIONS Compiled by ELIZABETH COBB STEWART Capital City Press Montpelier, Vermont 1968. [1] Compared to some of his siblings on his father's pages, Nehemiah's information is quite sparse being: 74. vii. NEHEMIAH, b. about 1779.
