DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Moses by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Moses:

So according to this history of Milford, Otsego County, NY (http://theusgenweb.org/ny/otsego/histories/histmil1.htm) Moses and his brother Noah moved there from Massachusetts. Freelove Beals Ford (Beals 973) shows up in the 1790 census in Montgomery, Otsego, with two white males over the age of 16, two under the age of 16, and four white females. She is buried in NY, in Oneida County, and her tombstone reads "wife of Joseph." She had been married to Joseph Ford (Ford 5711), who died in 1788. Based on the census, it seems like she and Joseph had way more than two kids, and I believe Moses may have been one of them.
