Biography

Leoluca Castro is born and baptized 4 October 1885 in Corleone. He is the son of Stefano Castro and Bernarda Mondello, named after his paternal grandfather. His godfather is Maestro Stefano Ridulfo, who is unmarried.^[1]

In 1901, Leoluca immigrates with his parents.

Passengers from Corleone sailing on the S.S. Marco Minghetti, sailing from Napoli 8 May 1901 and arriving in New York 25 May 1901 include Stefano, Bernarda, and two of their children. They are traveling with Gaetano Cascio, Rosalia Palazzo, and three of their children.
