Information on Elijah Pelton's parents

Question

I am looking for information about the parents of Elijah Pelton b. 1824 in New Jersey or Pensylvania.  He married Clarinda A. Jones around 1853.  They lived in Bradford, PA and had several children, including Joseph Wallace Pelton who is of my direct line.

He is # 594. Elijah Pelton fifth son of Elijah R., son of John, son of Samuel, Benjamin, Samuel, John.  on page 597 of the Pelton book.

Benjamin is Benjamin Pelton on Wikitree.  Benjamin's ancestors are entered but his descendants have not been.

#594 in the Pelton Genealogy book is not the same as the one in the 1880 Census burried in Franklindale Cemetary.  The Elijah Pelton that I mentioned was born in 1824, and #594 the 5th son of Elijah Rosenkrans Pelton was born in the 1840's.  If the Elijah Pelton that I mentioned is a son of Elijah Rosenkrans, it would have had to have been of his first Wife Martha Freeman.  Elijah Pelton #594 is of his second wife and was born on the wrong date.  No one in my line can find 100% difinitive proof that Elijah Rosenkrans Pelton is his father.
