How do I merge Benjamin Hyram Pelton 911 and Benjamin Hyram Pelton 918?

I accidentally entered Benjamin Hyram Pelton born 1912 twice after looking at the information from Find a Grave and from Family Search.  They are both the same person, my Uncle, and I want one of them.  The first was Benjamin Hyram Pelton (911) and the second was Benjamin Hyram Pelton (918).  Please help.

Go to Pelton-918, scroll to bottom, select initiate a merge, in ID2 enter Pelton-911 (merges should always be down with ID2 as the Lower profile number), select Merge, and then you should be able to immediately merge them since you are the PM on both.

Otherwise, you have to leave a comment about why you think the merge should be done.

You don't have to go to edit or anything to initiate a merge.

Hi Donald,

Go to the earlier Benjamin model, i.e. 911 and hit edit. On the right hand side, under add child, is, duplicates, merge...click that. then go to initiate a merge. enter the older id...Pelton-918 in the top slot. enter Pelton-911 in the bottom slot and click merge.

Pelton-911 and Pelton-918 are not showing as duplicates as siblings because one has the father only and one has the mother only.  Easier to just go to the bottom to select initiate a merge on the 'higher numbered' profile
