I AM A DESCENDANT OF THE VERNEY FAMILY MY GREAT NAN WAS JANE EDMOND VERNEY BORN 1925 IN ABERDEEN  HER MOTHER AND FATHER WERE MARGARET MARIA MCDONALD AND ARTHUR EDMOND VERNEY, ARTHUR'S MOTHER AND FATHER WERE JANE PHILLIP EDMOND AND WILLIAM JOHNSON VERNEY. MARIAS PARENTS WERE MARY KING AND JOHN JOHNSTONE MCDONALD. I GOT A BIT FUTHER ON THE VERNEY SIDE BUT HAVE COME TO A DEAD END AND CANT SEEM TO FIND ANY RECORDS ON THE MCDONALD  SIDE OF MY FAMILY DOES ANY1 FEEL LIKE HELPING ME PLEASE

Birth 1826 in Aberfeldy Perth

Death 30 Oct 1857 in Aberuthven Scotland

Married:  William King who was born 1822 in Creiff, Scotland and died 1 Feb 1867 in Bridge End Ardtallamay Kenmore Scotland

Her parents were listed as Alexander McDonald and Catherine Campbell. No other information for them.

 

Their children listed as:

• Catherine King 1849 – 

• James King1853 – 1956

• Jessie King1855 – 

• Mary Margaret King1857 – 1877

   

  But this last child, Mary Margaret King, shows in another public tree:

  Birth 18 Oct 1857 in Aberuthven Scotland

  Death 14 Apr 1877 in Comrie Scotland

  Parents:  William King 1822-1867 and Mary McDonald 1826-1857

   

  So at least one of those is wrong.

IVE NEVER HEARD THE WILSON PART I HAVE THE VERNEYS UP TO WILLIAM VERNEY WHO WAS BORN LEICESTERSHIRE AND MOVED TO GRIMSBY HIS FATHER NAME WAS WILLIAM BUT CANNOT FIND HIM AND I KNOW MARGARET MARIA MCDONALD WAS MY GRANDADS NANNA SHE WAS BORN 1 FEB 1902 N DIED ON HER 65TH BIRTHDAY SHE MARRIED ARTHUR EDMOND VERNEY ON 25TH SEPT 1925 HER PARENTS WERE MARY KING WHO MAY OF BEEN BORN IN IRELAND AND JOHN JOHNSTONE MCDONALD  THEY  LIIVED IN ABERDEEN AND IN GRIMSBY THIS IS WHAT MY GRANDAD TOLD ME BUT CANNOT FIND ANYTHING ONLINE TO SUPPORT IT

Have you tried searching the records at Scotlandspeople (http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/) it's the official registry site for all Scottish BMD certificates, will, probates and so on.
