Correct Father of Mary (King) Conkin McDonald?

Hi everyone! I'm trying to figure out the correct father for Mary (King) Conkin McDonald. Her mother was Alzira (Alzie, Elzie) Hicks and she married Edmond King. On the 1860 census, Mary is listed in the household of Alzira and Edmond. However, on Mary's death certificate, Alzira and John King are listed. Is this an error or is John her father and not Edmond? I have been trying to look for info for John too but nothing. I'm thinking it's either an error or John is a brother to Edmond. Any and all help is much appreciated! Thanks! :)

Hi Eddie! Thanks for your reply. Yes, I believe Amanda is a sister to Mary. Thanks for all of this information. I thought John could be a brother to Edmond. Must be an error on Mary's death certificate.
