I'm unable to find any family tree link to Melissa Blankenship (before 1812).

She married Daniel Pettit, born June 1811 in Pennsylvania.

Melissa died between 1860-1870 in Aid, Lawrence, Ohio.

Daniel Pettit died in Guide Rock, NE

They had several children Samuel, Lemuel, Madison, Louisa, Caroline, Joseph, Mary, William.

any help, suggestion is appreciated.

At the bottom of 1860 Census is listed Baverly Blankenship,might be Melissa

brother or nephew.A thread of evidence.Daniel Pettit served in Civil War ,38th

Infantry,Co B ,Corporal age 50 in 1861.Malissa is listed in 1850 and 1860 census

born in Virginia.
