The name written on the back of the photo is Elisha Blankenship. The year 1810 is also written. I'm trying to connect to my Blankenship family but have no record of this person.

I wanted to share this family photo of Mysterious Photos with the community. Location: Tennessee. Date: .

"Elisha was the son of Elisha Sr. and Elizabeth Ross Blankenship. Some of his siblings who also came to Polk County were Spencer and Stephen. Other siblings are thought to be Gilbert, James, David, John, Elizabeth, Susan and Margaret.

Elisha's wife Mary Roberson, was in the 1850 Polk County, TN census with children David E., Prudence I,, Martha, Sarah B., Joseph L., and Dilly Ann. All were born in NC but Joseph, who was born in Georgia, and Dilly Ann, born in Tennessee.

Except for David, who had married Nancy Wann, the daughter of Silas and Sarah Wann, both the Blankenship and Wann families moved to Arkansas. Mary was there in Carrol Co. in 1860 with the children who were still single, Martha, Sarah, Jsoeph and Dilly Ann.

Martha married Granville Berry, Dilly Ann married Sebron Collier."

P.S. 1810 is a little early for a photograph.
