Shirlea, did you know anything about my question?
just responding to the part about introducing yourself. Warm welcome!

I actually would not know how to start to answer your question.  It seems more of a statement that you have sent a private message to someone whose name includes 'McKinnon'.  It seems that in your message you have asked McKinnon about two ladies, Martha Durr and Mary Ann Todd.

Hopefully McKinnon already knows who you are talking about or what part of the world or section of time they are connected with.

For those of us on this G2G forum who would like to help you with your question, the best starting point would be a link to the profiles of each lady.  If there aren't profiles yet, then the question would need to include all known info and some indications of the research that has already been done that came up blank.

We would need that because there are a lot of people in lots of parts of the world that were named Martha Durr (88 with that or similar name already have profiles here at WikiTree) and even more named Mary Ann Todd (6,189 profiles here with that or similar name).

We would like to help.  We just need a starting point.

Cheers

Shirlea

Martha (Nicks Mizell) Durr is the mother of Mary Ann Durr Todd. Mary Ann Durr married Louis Byrd Todd. All were living in Jefferson, Marion Co., TX. The Durr's from AL were on the 1860 Census. Mary Ann and Louis had 3 daughters. I cannot find her death or a possible divorce among the search methods. Louis remarried another lady and continued to live in Jefferson, TX. Martha Nicks Durr died in South Sulphur, TX. My quest is what happened to Mary Ann Durr Todd and why did Martha die in and be buried in South Sulphur? Mary Ann and Louis married in 1867 and Martha died in 1896 as her tombstone shows.
I tried to copy and paste a link to Martha Nicks Mizell Durr to this site, but it wouldn't' let me. On her Find-A-Grave site, her ID is 188851845 and it has two census links. It should also have her children with James Pinckard Durr, including Mary Ann Durr Todd.

Hi C!

Thanks for those identifying details!

It seems that Chris McKinnon made a profile for Martha last week, and connected it mother-daughter with a profile for Mary Ann that was made last year.

Here's Martha: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Nicks-601

Here's Mary Ann: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Durr-824

Now that i have a starting point, I'll see if there is anything more i can discover that might answer your questions.

Cheers
