Would someone help me learn to merge the profile of my third great-grandfather with one already created.

Question

His name is Elijah E. Shaver.  I created a profile back when I first joined WT.  The number for his profile is 1621.  Now I have time to add more information to his profile but discover another Elijah (Shavor) Shaver who's # is 15.

I find it unusual that he has two gravestones!  Before merging I'd try to find out why there are two, and if one is wrong, remove it.

I've wondered about that.  One looks like it was recently made and the names are spelled differently on each.  I'm going to try to find out why.

From what I can tell, Tom, it appears that the newer of the two is a couple of inches in front of the older.  Since the cemetery is around a four hour drive from my home, I plan to drive there sometime after Thanksgiving to check it out for myself.  In the meantime, I will try to contact my cousin and see if anyone in that vicinity already knows the answer to your question.
