searching for my grandfathers resting place believe it is somewhere in alberta has a daught named hazel...

Harvey shaver  was married three times....the last marriage was in 1912 to a LaPorte in Prescott Ontario

A little confusing...some untangling to do.

There are two William H. Shaver's age 52 enumerated in Grenville County, Ontario in Census 1911. One, born Mar 1859, resides in Prescott with daughter Marie M. (b. 1896) - The other, born Oct 1858 lives in Edwardsburg with mother Sarah (b.1825) and sister Jennie M. (b. 1865). The former appears to be the person you are asking about, while the latter matches the profile you have linked to. As you indicate in your question, familysearch indexes a William Harvey Shaver born about 1860, son of Charles Levi Shaver and Adeline Lennox married Martha La Pert at Prescott, Ontario 4 Ar 1912. Ref: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/KS86-BFR

In Census 1901 in Prescott, Grenville, Ontario we find Charles L. and Adline with Charles L. After some searching on the OCFA database I would look for W. Harvey, Sarah A. and others at Sandy Hill cemetery in Prescott Ontario. http://www.prescott.ca/tourism/our-heritage/prescott-sandy-hill-cemetery.aspx

While some old discussions on Rootsweb suggest the W. Harvey Shaver in Sandy Hill is the son of George and Sarah I am nearly certain that is erroneous. Familysearch has a record indexed for William HUGH Shaver son of George and Sarah who was born and buried at Edwardsburgh, but died at Prescott so a W. Harvey is not a match. Also the OCFA lists a William H. shaver buried at North Channel Cemetery in Edwardsburgh, where there is also interred a George and Sarah.

I have a profile for William Harvey Shaver, his father, and others in his line, starting with Nicholas Schaeffer (Shaver) born in 1725, in Nassau, Germany.

I started working on this Shaver line a few days ago, so if you wish to follow along, it would be nice.
