We all make mistakes especially at first.

And since its "our" tree, we all share the work.

No worries!
WikiTree hugs !!    Please don't worry.
Hon, we all make mistakes.  Please don't stress. Learn from them and move on.
We all make mistakes.  They help us learn and improve.  Cherry
I've been feeling that way too, but I'm new, and learning a lot!  Don't feel bad, there's so much to figure out, and we all mess up :)
The way I see it is sometimes you can't see your own mistakes so sometimes it is best for others to help out. Best thing to do now is pay it forward and help out others.
Letting others check your work is called 'peer review' and its very important.
It worked, your peers reviewed it and missed mistakes were identified.
The process works well. :)

Steve, if you had answered instead of commenting, I would have clicked the gold star! What a great way of thinking about Wikitree! Peer review is always a bit nerve-wracking when someone is new to the process, but it is how all the best work gets done.
Yes, we all make mistakes, especially at first. And sometimes later, too! We all strive to keep improving. And we are all here to collaborate and help each other out. Isn't that our purpose in life too?

Hi Debbie,

Very kind of you to say that.

The "Wikitreers who never make mistakes" report is empty yet.

Believe me.

Some of the errors the 'bot finds are not mistakes you made, I've found some on my profiles where I had birth location as Connecticut, 1682, Someone changed it to Connecticut, USA. The Error Bot caught it and demanded that I fix it. (Demand is a bit strong, but anyway) it wasn't my error.

What  Rubén said. Also, all tree work is "our" work, no matter the branch :-)

Debbie making mistakes is often how we learn.  I usually feel like if I have made one good mistake I have not moved out of my safe zone and that means I am stagnating and not growing.  Use it as a learning experience and move on.  We have all made mistakes and that is part of growing.

Think of what you have learned and now when you apply it you are making your profiles better and stronger and helping WikiTree over all!

Debbie --

First of all, thank you for being so considerate of everyone! :-)

Secondly, we're all in this together. As many others have said, we all do the best we can and learn as we go.

Just keep pressing forward and continue asking for help when you need it. We all really appreciate people like you who recognize and learn from their mistakes. I hope you're having fun along the way, too!
