Ive been trying to remove a wife

Question

On my CALVERT tree,Ive been trying to remove  the same  wife, that i have down twice.  One is shjowing with  a child, and the other one is  showing without the   child. I have gone to the Benjamin Calvert profile,, got the   Jackson- number i wanted to get rid of,  and edited, adn click go  but nothing shows.the two wives show this number :  a.Jackson-21140  and  b.Jackson-21141, and  can not seem to get  rid of the  a.  I can not figure out what i am doing   worng?    Any  input

to get more responses you could add the tag profiles, merges etc

You might try merging them, then clean up the bios and sources

The best thing to do is merge them.  If you remove one as a wife, she will still have a profile out there on WikiTree, and at some point that match would be found and a merge would be needed anyway.

There's already a pending merge.  I agree with Chris, merge them.  The information looks identical and you are the profile managers for both Ann Jackson profiles.  Go to the bottom of the profile and hit the merge button and it should go through.

After merging, you'll need to get rid of the extra profile information as both biographies will still be visible when you check the new profile out.
