amalgamate this with a known tree?

Question

I am very sure that this is my distant ancestor and that his father is Alexis Pierre son of Tomas Cormier, the first of the Cormiers in Canada.  So, how do I link us up?

Well, one of the first things you need to do is take the test to be pre-1700 certified.  It's an interesting study/test and will let you know how well you're prepared to work with earlier material and ancestors.  Now you'r Francois is born after 1700 but his perported father isn't, so you'll have to be certified to make the connection, I believe.
