Any ideas how to locate ancestor's school if I have no records indicating anything?

Hello everybody,

I have recently discovered that Lloyd Davey went to Glenville High School in Cleveland, Ohio. This is per a yearbook from Glenville in 1924. At this point he was a freshman which is weird because he was born in October 1906. Regardless, he is clearly there in the yearbook (no picture though). However, I have nothing on his siblings going to the high school or what grade school they attended.

So far I have used the census locations and Google Maps to locate which school they would have attended. It looks like St Francis was their grade school. Is there an easier to do this when I have no records at all of any of the others' school years?

They don't have the right years for the ones Ineed. Besides Ancestry showed me the one about Lloyd. It doesn't help that several of Lloyd's siblings didn't go to high school and Ancestry only has high school and college yearbooks...

Oh well, it was worth a try. A lot of folks, I find, completely neglect the year books, city directories, etc. (not you or I of course :D). I find them immensely useful.

Johnny Depp got his big break being a high school freshman at 18.

It's possible that Lloyd stopped attending school for a while to help support his family, maybe because his father had died or was away during WWI, and later had the opportunity to return to school.
