Can anyone help link baptismal record and nonfilial marriage record?

Question

The marriage record in the register of the church of St-Louis in Kamouraska for Adélaïde Bois does not list the name of her parents or even her family name, only "Adélaïde also from this parish." Going by the age given on census records, I think I've found her baptismal record, which says she was the daughter of Joseph Bois and "Marie" (no family name -- other records indicate that her name was Marie Angèle Madore). I'd like to add her parents to the tree, but I'm not yet confident enough that this link is correct.

She may be an illegitimate child, often see omission of family name in such cases on marriages.  Might be Marie Adélaïde, born 3 May 1825, baptised 4th in Kamouraska (St-Louis), of unknown parentage bapt 4 May 1825 IGD (membership)

This is where digging in notarial records is needed to see if there's a marriage contract, or a record of the child being put in fosterage.  The witnesses at the wedding are Michel Bois and someone named Paradis, both listed as friends of the spouses.

She gets called Adélaïde Potvin on the funeral of one of her children in 1854 Anonyme Pelletier, funeral

I combed through the St-Louis registers but did not find that Marie Adélaïde. Foolishly only paying attention to "Bois," I think (looking for needles in haystacks is tedious). Merci beaucoup! That match seems better than the one I have, given the lack of parents on her marriage record (I had seen that there were "friends of the spouses" at the wedding -- I think the first is Vincent Paradis).

Interesting that there is not even a mother on the baptismal record. The record says "born yesterday," but I wonder if they knew that for sure, or if the child was a foundling.

hmm, often I think the midwife is who brings the child in to be baptised, and they were ruled by certain codes, which probably included confidentiality.  There was opprobrium in bearing an illegitimate child, so they wouldn't say who the mother was.  Not to ruin her chances of getting a husband later or something.

I did a search for what to use for LNAB for an illegitimate child with unknown parents and no family name in the record. As is sometimes the case, the various answers aren't  definitive. Should I change her LNAB to Unknown?

Nope, Inconnu.  She is definitely not English.   There's an uncovered part in help pages when there is no last name at birth due to this sort of situation.  Same thing actually happens with cultures that didn't even use LNAB, such as many native peoples.

mdr, le programme reconnaît Inconnu mais refuse le français?  Quelqu'un est trop litéral alors dans la programmation.  Le projet sur les Unknown sait parfaitement bien ce que Inconnu veut dire, et ne m'a jamais fait d'objection de ce genre.
