RAWK logoIt's come up often that we should do something similar to the WikiTree Challenge for WikiTree members. As a part of our 15th Anniversary celebration this year, we decided to introduce our We Will RAWK You Event.

RAWK stands for Random Acts of WikiTreer Kindness.

We did our first round of RAWK in March and more in June and August. We had some good success for our nominees so here we go for round four!

How it works:

A month before each of these events, we will put out a call in G2G for RAWK nominations (like this one!). This is your opportunity to nominate another WikiTreer to be a potential participant in the We Will RAWK You Event.

After nominations close, The WikiTree Events Committee will randomly pick 5 of the nominated WikiTreers who will then get to be RAWKED.

We also put out a call in G2G for RAWKERS, WikiTreers who would like to help work on the lines of the 5 participants.

On October 1st we will kick off the We Will RAWK You Event. Everyone who signed up to help with research will have one month to see how much they can increase the CC7 numbers for the five nominated WikiTreers.

There are stickers for those who are RAWKED and for the RAWKERS.

Please post your WikiTreer nomination as answer below! Note: Members of the WikiTree Team are not eligible for nomination. The nomination period will end September 27th.

If you would like to volunteer to be a RAWKER, please post an answer HERE

I nominate David Weinberg. He did a great job with the Brilliant Birches in the WikiTree Games and has a current CC7 of 160.

I second this nomination. He was a great help during the WikiGames and currently only has one connection point to the main tree at degree 4 I believe.

I agree, Steph is an active member of both the England and Wales projects currently on the England Project Orphan Trail always ready to help and guide and worthy of being RAWKEDyes

Totally agree. Steph is a key member of the Wales and England Projects.
I also agree. She is doing a wonderful job on the Orphan Trail.

I nominate my friend and fellow Team Italy member, Caroline Vernon! She has Italian, English and Polish roots. But, she needs some help in certain areas. Please Rawk her!

by Chris Ferraiolo G2G6 Pilot (774k points)
Caroline is also an England Project member and on her final profile pre graduation of the Orphan Trail 2, it would be not only great to increase Caroline’s connections but also as a graduation thank you for all her efforts.

I'd like to nominate Susanna Yarber-68.
by Susan Anderson G2G6 Pilot (121k points)
I know that Susanna is thrilled to be nominated.  She has a few family that lines in Kentucky that would be great to get on WT and see how we all connect.

I wish to nominate [[Cormack-404|Anon (Cormack) Sharkey]].

This will be a tough one as she already has 2,272 connections, but, as many of you know, she is always helping others so, it is time we tried to help her.  Besides, we all like a challenge.

Thank you JG I'd love someone to solve my  big brick wall Who was my natural father?

I'm nominating Bruce Arnold again.  yDNA shows him to belong to our family, but he only has 273 connections (compared to my 4665).  Would love to see his portion of the tree flushed out.

I want to nominate Julie Ricketts (Fiscus-32). She's an awesome asset to WikiTree and does a wonderful job with the Tree Nuts team and Friday Date Night!  I truly think she's the reason that I really got into WikiTree and expanding my work beyond my own twig of our world tree. Some of Julie's CC7 are from my area and it would be interesting to work on those profiles.
